We are Phil, Karo, Lettie, Wim and our Maltese dog Maya.

Our adventure began in 2015 with a trip around Australia, during which the first YouTube videos were created. Back in Germany, we bought the old Land Rover Defender "Willi", which we converted into an adventurous "4-season-go-anywhere" vehicle.

In 2017 we sent "Willi" to Canada and started our journey through the Americas: from Canada to the USA, Mexico and Colombia to Antarctica. In 2020 we had to stop the trip due to corona, but in 2022 we went back to Uruguay with our daughter Lettie and the spare parts for the Defender. There we continued the tour of discovery through Argentina and Uruguay.

More trips followed, like in 2023. There we explored southern Africa for 3 months with our Defender.

The idea for our online shop was born while we were on the road. With our products, we want to share our overlanding experiences and inspire you to have your own adventures. Every article is a piece of our journey. Be it the fairy lights for relaxed evenings at home or on the road, our Mexican hammock for relaxing moments or our off-road book for new discoveries - we want you to bring the feeling of "The Sunnyside" into your everyday life and we want to be able to accompany you on your short or long trips.
