Warnings and safety instructions for a USB-C light rope (weatherproof, but not the USB-C plug and dimmer)

  1. Water and weather resistance:
    • The light rope is weatherproof and suitable for outdoor use, but only the light section itself. The USB-C plug and the dimmer are not weatherproof and should be protected from moisture, rain, and direct sunlight. (Use the provided dry bag)
    • Ensure that the USB-C plug and the dimmer are always connected in a dry, protected location (use the provided dry bag).
  2. Wiring and connection:
    • Only use compatible USB-C cables and adapters suitable for use with the light rope.
    • Ensure that the USB-C plug is always correctly and securely inserted into the corresponding socket to avoid short circuits or malfunctions.
  3. Overload and overvoltage:
    • Do not overload the power source to which the USB-C light rope is connected. Only use adapters and chargers approved for the corresponding currents and voltages.
    • Ensure that the dimmer is suitable for the power source used to avoid overheating or damage.
  4. Use in damp environments:
    • The light rope may be used in damp environments (e.g., light rain or fog), as long as the USB-C plug and the dimmer do not come into contact with water. (Use the provided dry bag)
    • Ensure that the dimmer and the USB-C plug are protected from direct contact with water or moisture by using the provided dry bag.

 

  1. Storage and transport:
    • When not in use, store the USB-C light rope and electrical components (especially the USB-C plug and dimmer) in a dry, well-ventilated place.
    • The USB-C plug and dimmer must not be stored in damp or extremely hot environments.
  2. Cleaning and maintenance:
    • The light rope can be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or sharp objects.
    • The USB-C plug and dimmer should only be wiped dry to avoid damage to the electrical components.
  3. Prevention of mechanical damage:
    • Ensure that the USB-C light rope and electrical components are protected from shocks, crushing, and other mechanical stresses.
    • The dimmer and USB-C plug are sensitive components that can be damaged by improper handling.
  4. Emergency measures in case of defects:
    • In case of visible damage to the USB-C plug, dimmer, or cable, do not continue to use the product, as this could lead to electrical hazards or malfunctions.
    • Only have the product repaired by a qualified technician if it is defective.
