Warning and Safety Instructions for the P80PD Power Bank (Li-Polymer battery, rechargeable via USB-C).

Use according to instructions
Only use the power bank as instructed by the manufacturer. Careless handling or improper use can lead to damage to the device or connected devices. The power bank is designed as a mobile energy storage for digital devices (e.g. smartphones, tablets) and for operating SUNNYSIDE Camplights.

Key Hazard Characteristics
Under normal conditions, use is safe. In case of improper handling (e.g. prolonged charging, short circuit, heat or mechanical impact), the following hazards exist:

Breakage or leakage of internal components, which can lead to injuries.

Risk of fire or extreme heat generation.
-
Risk of explosion in case of exposure to fire or high temperatures.
-
Emission of toxic fumes (e.g. carbon oxides) in case of fire.

Composition / Ingredients
The power bank contains the following chemical components:

Lithium Cobalt Oxide (15-37%)

Graphite (10-38%)
-
Lithium Hexafluorophosphate (10-27%)

Copper (7-21%), Aluminum foil (5-13%) and Nickel (1-9%)

First Aid Measures
If the battery is damaged and chemicals leak out:

Eye contact: Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lift eyelids and seek immediate medical attention.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and rinse skin for 15 minutes; seek medical help.
-
Inhalation: Immediately move affected person to fresh air and administer oxygen if breathing difficulties occur.

Ingestion: If the battery is damaged, do not induce vomiting and do not administer food/drinks. Seek immediate medical help.

Charging Instructions

Only use high-quality USB-C cables to charge the power bank.

The battery must only be charged with a suitable USB charger that provides the correct output voltage (DC 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A).

Only charge the device in dry locations and avoid charging it in direct proximity to water sources.

Do not leave the power bank unsupervised on the mains for extended periods (e.g. several days) during charging.

Battery Safety

Do not use the power bank if the casing is damaged, swollen or deformed.
-
The power bank contains a lithium polymer battery. Never attempt to open the casing, pierce the device or perform repairs yourself.

If fluids leak or an unusual odor occurs, immediately disconnect the device from all power sources and store it in a safe outdoor location.

Operating Temperature

Ensure that the power bank is operated within a safe temperature range.

Avoid extreme heat above 60°C as well as direct sunlight for extended periods (e.g. on the dashboard of a car), as this impairs the battery's lifespan and poses a fire hazard.

Moisture and Water

The power bank is not waterproof. Do not use the device in heavy rain or in extremely humid environments.

Avoid direct contact with water. Ensure all connections are dry before plugging in a cable or charging the device.

Cables and Connectors

Use the integrated charging cables (USB-C, Lightning, Micro-USB) carefully.

Avoid severe kinking or pulling on the cables.
-
Do not insert foreign objects into the USB ports to avoid short circuits.

Storage

If the power bank is not used for a longer period, store it in a dry, cool place.

To maintain battery capacity, the power bank should be fully charged at least once every 4 months.

Maintenance and Inspection

Regularly check the power bank for visible damage to the casing and cables.

In case of defects or malfunctions, the device must not be used further.

Disposal

Dispose of the power bank in accordance with applicable legal regulations for electronic or battery waste (WEEE directive).

The device must not be disposed of in normal household waste. Hand it in at an official collection point or recycling center.
