Ideal for guy-roping and securely fixing your awning. The two 3.5 meter long light ropes can be connected with the 2.5 meter long extension. Each light rope can withstand up to 150 kg, is weatherproof and made of UV-resistant material – perfect for outdoor use.

The lighting of our light rope guy-line set not only creates a cozy atmosphere and prevents tripping at night, but also allows you to reliably secure your awning against wind and weather.

The red rope also has the advantage of keeping up to 90% of insects away.

Each rope is 3.5 meters long and can be continuously dimmed via the included controller. You can light up the rope with a USB-C plug, for example on a power bank, a phone adapter, or a permanently installed socket in a camper, etc.

For storing or protecting the power bank from rain, you will receive a Drybag.

Red light does indeed attract fewer insects than, for example, white or blue light. This is related to the way insects perceive light.

Many insect species are particularly sensitive to short-wavelength light components, especially in the ultraviolet and blue parts of the spectrum. These wavelengths are highly attractive because they are easily perceived by insects and often play a role in nocturnal orientation. White light also contains many of these short-wavelength components and therefore attracts a comparatively large number of insects.

Red light, on the other hand, has a significantly longer wavelength and is at the other end of the visible spectrum. Many insects can only perceive red light to a limited extent or react significantly less to it. There is also evidence that some insect species cannot see red wavelengths at all, as their eyes are not sensitive to these frequencies.

For this reason, red light attracts fewer insects overall. This makes the Leuchttau Afterglow a particularly insect-friendly choice – good for you and gentle on the insect world.

Weather Resistance & Moisture:

• Only the illuminated rope itself is weatherproof. The USB-C plug and the dimmer are NOT weatherproof.
• These components must be protected from rain, moisture, and high humidity. Always use the provided dry bag for this purpose.
• Do not operate the rope in humid environments if the plug or dimmer are not securely protected.

Electrical Safety:

• Only operate with standardized 5V USB-C power sources. Ensure that the power bank or power adapter has sufficient amperage.
• Discontinue use of the product if the cable, dimmer, or USB plug show visible damage (risk of short circuit or fire).

• Fire Protection & Overheating: Ensure that the dimmer is not covered during operation to allow for sufficient air circulation.
• Maintenance: Clean the rope only with a slightly damp cloth. The plug and dimmer should only be cleaned dry.
• Child Safety: Due to the length of the rope, there is a risk of strangulation. Keep away from children and pets.
